Over the past year

Tuscarora High School SDS has raised awareness around animal rights. And next year we will have more vegetarian and vegan options.

THS SDS have also helped start getting the school system to recycle.

THS SDS has helped organized local protests against the war.

THS SDS has also participated in discussion of SDS being a part of the direct actions against RNC and DNC.

Members have participated in Frederick Really Really Free Markets, Food Not Bombs, and Critical Mass.

Numerous of the members have helped oppose “God Hates Fags”

Over the next year we hope to have fair trade certified clothing, a speaker from the IVAW, and solidarity demonstrations against the I-69 nafta super highway, RNC and DNC.

And hopefully by the end of the year we hope to have a speaker brought in to discuss consent and as we the school systems select option 8 on the asvab test to protect students rights.
